The Warthog is perfectly adapted to life in the African bushveld, where it thrives in open savannahs, grasslands and woodland habitats. Its prominent facial warts, upward-curving tusks and coarse mane create a rugged appearance that reflects its resilience.

Despite their comical reputation, Warthogs are intelligent and remarkably alert. They often enter burrows backwards to defend themselves with their tusks and can reach surprising speeds when escaping danger, typically running with their tails held upright.
