The Vaal Rhebuck is a graceful mountain antelope recognised by its soft grey coat, slender build and long, straight horns carried by mature rams. Unlike many plains species, it prefers high-altitude grasslands, rocky ridges and steep mountain slopes where it can detect danger from great distances.

Living in small family groups, Vaal Rhebuck rely on elevated terrain and exceptional vision to evade predators, often disappearing over ridges long before hunters can approach.

Their remote habitat, challenging terrain and naturally wary behaviour demand patience, physical endurance and precise stalking, making the Vaal Rhebuck one of South Africa's most rewarding mountain game trophies.
