Plains Game
The Jewel of the African Bush
Often called the "Grey Ghost of the Thickets," the Nyala prefers dense riverine forests and thick bush where it can remain almost invisible.
Mature bulls carry magnificent spiral horns, a dark slate-grey coat and long shaggy hair along the neck and belly, making them one of Africa's most striking antelope species. Their cautious nature and preference for thick cover demand slow, deliberate stalking and exceptional patience.
Successfully harvesting a mature Nyala is considered a significant achievement and is a highlight of many African safaris.
With its beauty, rarity and challenging habitat, the Nyala remains one of the continent's most prized trophies.
