The Bush Phantom

Every PH has a Grey Duiker story.

One moment they're feeding quietly beside the road. The next they've melted into the bush without making a sound.

Grey Duikers are masters of using cover. They'll freeze, circle downwind and often outsmart hunters who underestimate them. Although common across much of Southern Africa, mature rams are surprisingly difficult to hunt consistently.

Their small stature often fools people into thinking they're an easy trophy.

They aren't.

A good Grey Duiker is earned through patience, sharp observation and making the most of a brief opportunity when it finally presents itself.
