Standing beside a mature Cape Eland bull is something every African hunter remembers.

Despite weighing close to a ton, these giants move through the bush with remarkable ease and can disappear into thick cover long before most hunters expect it. Old bulls often travel alone or in small bachelor groups, favouring quiet country where experience has kept them alive for many seasons.
