The bontebok carries a story unlike any other plains game species. Once on the brink of disappearing forever, careful conservation and responsible wildlife management brought this magnificent antelope back from the edge. Today, every mature ram represents one of South Africa's greatest conservation achievements.

Their bold white blaze, rich chestnut coat and distinctive markings make them instantly recognisable, but don't mistake good looks for an easy hunt. Mature rams remain alert, favour open country and are quick to spot movement long before you think you're within range.

For many hunters, the bontebok represents more than another trophy. It's an opportunity to hunt a species that exists today because hunters and conservationists chose to protect it. Few trophies carry that kind of legacy.
