The White-Tailed Gnu

Often called the White-tailed Gnu, the Black Wildebeest is instantly recognisable by its dark coat, flowing white tail and powerful forward-curving horns. Endemic to southern Africa, it inhabits open plains where its speed and alertness provide excellent protection from predators.

Bulls are highly territorial and display remarkable aggression during the breeding season, frequently engaging in dramatic chases and horn-clashing contests. Their unpredictable movements and exceptional eyesight make them a rewarding challenge for hunters.
